Sexual Disorders
Sexual disorder is an intimacy disorder characterised by compulsive sexual thoughts and acts or by inability to attain and/or to maintain sexual excitement. The disturbance causes marked distress or interpersonal difficulty and has a negative impact on the person’s quality of life.
Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder:
Persistently or recurrently deficient or absent sexual fantasies and desire for sexual activity.
Sexual Aversion Disorder:
Persistent or recurring aversion to or avoidance of sexual activity. When presented with a sexual opportunity, the individual may experience panic attacks or extreme anxiety.
Sexual Arousal Disorder:
Persistent or recurrent inability to attain, or to maintain until completion of the sexual activity, an adequate lubrication-swelling response of sexual excitement.
Male Erectile Disorder:
Persistent or recurrent inability to attain, or to maintain until completion of the sexual activity, an adequate erection.
Female Orgasmic Disorder:
Delay of orgasm following normal excitement and sexual activity.
Male Orgasmic Disorder:
Delay of orgasm following normal excitement and sexual activity.
Premature Ejaculation:
Persistent or recurrent ejaculation with minimal sexual stimulation before or shortly after penetration and before the person wishes it. The clinician must take into account factors that affect duration of the excitement phase, such as age, novelty of the sexual partner or situation, and recent frequency of sexual activity.
Dyspareunia:
Recurrent or persistent genital pain associated with sexual intercourse in either a male or a female.
Paraphilias:
Distressing and repetitive sexual fantasies, urges, or behaviors to attain sexual excitement. Paraphilias include:
- Exibitionism
- Fetishism
- Frotteurism
- Pedophilia
- Sexual Masochism
- Sexual Sadism
- Transvestic Fetishism
- Voyeurism.
- Urolagna.
- Gerontophilia
- Coprophilia.
- Necrophilia
- Zoophilia
